We Know Medicare!
We find that most of our clients choose to enroll in a Medicare Supplement plan (often referred to as a Medigap). Medicare Supplement plans are offered by private health insurance companies. These plans help reduce or eliminate any out of pocket cost due to health care received. The Medicare supplement plans we offer allow you to choose any doctor or medical facility in all 50 states as long as they accept Medicare. Most plans offer some foreign travel coverage for medically necessary emergency services. Popular Medicare Supplements include Plan F and Plan G. Usually the best time to enroll in a Medicare Supplement policy is up to 6 months before or during your 6 months of open enrollment period. The open enrollment period starts the first day you are both 65 years or older and enrolled into Medicare Part B. Medicare Supplements do not have any time restrictions as to when you may apply for or change plans. Some Medicare Supplements may offer additional benefits such as access into an exercise health club. We will advise you and help determine which plan will best suit your needs.

Some of our clients choose to enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan (often referred to as Part C or an MAPD). Medicare Advantage plans are administered by individual insurance companies. Medicare Advantage plans differ from a Medicare Supplement. Many of the Medicare Advantage plans include prescription Part D coverage. Medicare Advantage plans are managed health care plans that serve as a substitute for original Medicare. Medicare Advantage plans are either a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) or a Private Fee For Service (PFFS). HMOs and PPOs have a network of doctors and medical facilities to choose from. Medicare Advantage Plans may or may not be available in the state or county that you reside in. Medicare Advantage plans are especially attractive to those on early Medicare disability. Medicare Advantage plans have strict guidelines as to when an individual may enroll or disenroll.
